About
St. Paul Chapel began as a school house purchased at an auction from the township trustees by Mr. Frank Federspiel, Ben Pohlius, Frank Carroll, Robin Federspeil and Mrs. Joseph Reide.
Transformation of the school house began and was finished for dedication on July 27, 1941. Initial credit for the transformation goes to Father Leonard Wren, OFM Conv.. He served the Chapel from 1940-1942. Addition acreage was purchased in 1964 from W.E. Esterline.
In 1981 a community room was added for social gatherings and the expanded mass seating during the summer months. In 1991, the present expansion took place with additional rooms for Religious Education. Today, St. Paul Chapel accommodates 375+ people and is open year round to serve resident families and a large number of visitors.
Recently, a Men's Group was formed to further expand involvement and shortly thereafter a Women's Group did the same. Both joyfully accept new members. Mass Times: Wednesday's at 9:30am Sunday's at 9:00am.
